Ok here's a pic of them, the internal measurement of the pipe was about 53mm from memory. I cut out abit of a slot so they can slip over the stanchion then onto the slider, its a firm fit but i will still use a zip lock on them.  I cant test it yet as i dont have any brakes on the bike, but will report back.. I may have to modify them to work ,worst case scenario ive blown 20 cents worth of pipe..

you were right Tony, didn't even look like working . Anyway i couldnt be bothered experimenting. For now i will track down an old fork gator like this , cut it in half and put half on either side.

Thats an interesting concept Fred, hard to tell but the protector bit would be about 2" or so. They'd have to work, .  Might trim mine after all and see.

Oh wow. Those are brilliant. I don't know about the quality of the oil seals, but that dust seal is kickass!

i think the ones that fred put the link to are the fork protector which is incorporated with the dust seal, not just a stand alone fork protector that you sell..

I cut another 1/2 " off the top of my pipe ones, made no difference.  Stupid bloody things..

Ken, If you trim them back so they don't go around the fork so much they should be ok. You only basically need a flat part on the front for protection and that'll clear the triple tree on suspension compression.

ok tony, i understand were your coming from, i'll give it a crack tomorrow and see how it goes..

as an aside..  i was told that my bike looked like it was down low on the rear suspension.(FAT PRICK). Alas i adjusted my rear from 2 to 5 and it sorted most rear end hassles that i'm aware of... .. then i fitted new front fork seals and new 10w fork oil. . the black sludge that came out of the sliders felt like a slap in the face to me in as far i really need to up my maintenance regime, as  just with couple of adjustments my bike has been transformed.
