A little while ago I asked on here for fellow riders to sign a rule discussion site to change lane filtering laws here in Queensland. Well blow me over and pass the smelling salts, they did it. We can start early January? Reading through the old rules from what I can tell riders are not allowed to take feet off pegs even while reverse parking and now we can! What knob jockey came up with it in the first place?
Anyway thanks to all who signed

About time it was introduced, but I hope they have ads on tv and newspapers to educate people that it is now legal for us to do so. Riding home through Brisbane on Sunday I came across gridlocked traffic at Jindalee so instead of waiting in line like normal and risk having the bike melt under me, I started filtering through traffic which ever way I could, either on the shoulder or between cars, and some people were that pissed off because I was moving and they weren't that they yelled out as I went passed or closed the gap when they saw me coming. Pricks. Finally got through with the oil temp gauge sitting on about 140deg C so anything to keep us moving is a good thing.

We are pretty lucky in Victoria in that regard, just like parking on the footpaths, the motorists are used to it. I don't recall a car driver ever getting annoyed. A surprising number of them even will even move over when they see you weaving your way toward them in their mirrors and don't object to you moving across in front of them to get to the next lane if you run out of room.

I suppose there should be some compensation for the govt having declared war on road users.

The police recently announced a campaign on low level speeding and last week a friend was booked for doing 4 kph (that's two and half miles an hour) over the posted speed limit - $180 fine.

Arseholes!

Yep absolutley petty isn't it. But so many people have been brainwashed by the " Every K Over Is A Killer" campaign and ACTUALLY believe it, there is no turning back now. Our caring government pencil pushers will make sure of that.
It felt so good on Sunday to sit on 120-130 through the wide open twisties near Kilcoy, no doubt many fine upstanding citizens would be delighted to see me thrown in the clink for daring to flout the "safe" 100kmh limit, how dare I !!!

And when it is legal for us to do so, any car driving wankers who decide to let loose as you go past while they are stopped, should gently be "educated". I did this once a few years back when some morons in a car thought it was hilarious when they cut me off going through Sunnybank. They weren't expecting me to stop beside them at the lights and get of my bike and stick my helmeted head into the car and ask them if they thought it was funny that they nearly skittled me. They went all quiet, no more laughing, it would have been gold on a helmet cam, lol.
My tolerance for wankers is becoming more "Klavdy" like as I get older, lol.
