Almost lost my knob...in need of a screw

...now that I have your attention - no, this is not what you're thinking (sickos). When I left for a ride on my '92 FJ yesterday I went to pull the choke knob before starting and it came right off in my hand (ouch), which means that the small screw that is supposed to hold it in place is missing. Does anyone know the size of the screw and thread type?

Note to self: next time put a dab of blue Loctite on it.

Thanks,

Zwartie

Was able to find one (trial and error method), at a local hobby store that dealt with small metric fasteners for RC toys and such.

Hi everybody,
You can get them from sewing machine places too.
There's also a common computer/motherboard grub screw that fits.

Never forget to check the 'Files Section'.  Sometimes the relevant info is already there.

You can also see if the screw is available at your local ACE Hardware stores.

It's a 2.5 x 6 mm metric screw.  I got my last ones there for about .30 each.

Oh and a dash of Blue Loctite helps prevent them from vibrating loose.
