Hey everybody im new to the forums been on before for research but just wanted to let yall know ive had an '89 fj1200 for about 3 months now and recently learned how durable they are i was leaving my house a week and a half ago and was cut off by an SUV! hit the front brakes too hard and as many of you know the front on the fj dips a little bit!! lol well needless to say the bike catapulted me off and into the air i hit the ground face first slid about 30 feet and broke my shoulder in three places! bike flipped in the air and landed a couple inches from my face! well thats the bad news! the good news when i got back from the hospital my roomate went and got the bike...... He rode it back! it still rides like a dream a little fairing damage but the damn thing just won't quit.... I loved the bike before but now i think i wanna marry it! P.S. THANK GOD FOR HELMETS! wear them and stay safe!

WOW!!!!
Glad to hear that they were the only injuries.
Front brakes work too!
I've often been asked, 'What do you old folks do now that you're retired'?

"Well. I'm fortunate to have a chemical engineering background, and one of the things I enjoy most is turning beer, wine, Scotch, and margaritas into urine."
