It would seem my push button for my horn has finally given up the ghost. As usual I tried to search but came up with nothing.(maybe not using it properly) I was wondering if it can be fixed and what some of you have done when your 28 year old switch decides to retire on you. I need my horn back. 86 ITX

Is the push button stuck in or does the horn just not work?

The horn works but the switched has had it, the button is not stuck in. If I play with it I can get the horn to sound and also stick on.

Take the switchblock apart.  Pay attention and take pictures if necessary.
Put a blob of solder on the horn switch points.
Dress the solder with a file if necessary.

Note: This also works fine for the start switch.

Excellent, that's what I was looking for, In my family we call that a ''Butch Fix''! Done at home, cost is cheap, fixing existing part. They will come to me with something that needs fixing and say '' Can we butch fix it dad''. I have some really small diameter solder that should work good for that. Thanks for your time and smarts.

Hey Gumby,, did you resolve the button issue? I'm in the GW North too and would be  happy to spot you a switch if needed.
