Pulled carbs & airbox out to clean & try to get 89 fj1200 running. Reassembling & have an electric plug (black & brown lead into white plug T shape) on right side of bike that I cannot remember what was connected to it. Don't see anything around it. Bunch of wires encased in black tape running from front of bike along side of carbs & fuel pump about the size of my thumb. At fuel pump the 2 leads come out of the group with maybe 3-4 inches of wire & plug on end. Tried to wrap tape & label everything as I'm obviously not very experienced, but forgot this one. Any help appreciated.

This question comes up frequently enough, so don't feel alone.  I wondered this same thing after a full rebuild of my '92.  It's for the California smog models...if yours isn't a "C" model, it doesn't hook to anything.  It does provide a nice switched 12v power source if you want to add an accessory.
