I'm trying Delvac 1300 super 15-40. Put in the whole gallon and ended up taking out a 1/2 quart. I'll remember next time I guess. I had 1400 miles on the last oil. I'm doing more driving than I thought I would just blasting around the island.

This Mobile Delvac doesn't say if it's synthetic or not. I can't see it written on the jug.

You've been warned on using automotive oils with friction modifiers with your wet clutch.

15-40 Delvac is conventional oil.

Well I can't feel any ill-effects but I can't really hit a high C on these back roads. I did pull full throttle for a couple of seconds at 4000 rpm and it didn't slip. Shifting was no different. Next spring I'll try Rotella 5-40

I'm not familiar with the Mobil delvac' but I assume its a H/D diesel oil similar to Rotella T. I've Got about 300 mi. on my last change to Rotella 15/40 with 16 oz. of Lucas H/D oil stabilizer. The bike is running cooler and quieter, and it shifts better. I did run it about 50 mi. without the Lucas first and it shifted hard, especially neutral to first. I plan on 2000 mi. before my next change unless there are any issues. B T W Joe, I just shortened my signal stalks as per your post in June and they look so much better! Thanks for posting that mod. Good luck with the oil, check the condition of it alot to be safe.                           Charley.
