24l tank fj1100

Ok... I want to hear from all the 1100 owners out there.

I emptied my tank today and tried to refill out of jerry cans which contained exactly 23 litres. Got the 23 in there but about 5 mins later started bellowing out of filler cap. I thought these things took 24 litres, i guess not usable litres anyway.

It probably would of been fine if i was going on a long trip straight away, but still wouldn't have fitted another litre in there to make up the 24. Anyone managed to put in 24 litres?

With the gauge below empty and the fuel light on, I've never had to put in more than 20 litres to fill.

... same - 20 liters to fill with gauge empty, red light on, and about 335 km showing on the odometer.
