Ok, I think I might have stumbled onto something here. Please correct me if I'm wrong. So I've been looking for a petcock kit for my 84 FJ1100 and I've found out that they aren't made (makes no sense). Well through my hunting I think I might have found a bike that uses the same parts as our FJ1100's. So here it goes, what I found is that the seal for the lever is used on tons of yamaha bikes so those aren't a problem, the problem is the diaphragm and inner rubber valve. There's 2 bikes that I found that use that valve, our FJ's and the SRX250. So in my search for an SRX kit I found out that people are using TZR250 internals to rebuild SRX petcocks. I guess people with SRX's have been looking for a kit for a while and stumbled on to this. So I'm assuming if the TZR and the SRX share the same internals then the TZR and the FJ do to. AM I wrong? Here is a kit I found on ebay that seems to visibly match our FJ parts.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YAMAHA-TZR250-TZR-250-FUEL-TAP-REPAIR-KIT-/271257460050?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts_13&hash=item3f28345d52. I'm gonna do a little more research, but for now I've made my own rubber valve and just ordered an oring, luckily my diaphragm is in tip top shape. I'll let you all know what I find out unless someone decides to buy one and try it out.

Steven...THAT would be the holy grail....after RPM Randy's stock of new petcocks runs out... I fear we will be SOL on our vacuum petcocks.
