Hey all been a rider for a long time and have been riding and still ride ( for now ) a gs1000
but have just picked up a 86 FJ1200 im about to do a restore on.

Will be picking brains and asking stupid questions so bear with me

Looks like an imported model going by the long rear guard. My understanding is Aussie derived models have a short rear guard.

Hey Warren, welcome to the forum! It just occurred to me when I took a blast around town today that the FJ runs like a 500 lb. bumble bee rather than a motorcycle.  . Your gonna love it man. Put a few miles on it before you tear it down. You'll definitely want to finish sooner.
