Very nice, you did well. Too bad you can't just bolt on a set of Renntec bars, they will save a lot of grief if you ever go down. The full lowers are so rare. You love your FJ, I can see it very clearly....
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

 Very nice work. May I ask how you mounted those mirrors? I am doing an 84 and was pondering a fairing mounted mirror set up like yours.

I used one existing windshield mounting hole and drilled 1 new hole to mount each mirror. One thing to be careful of when drilling is the location of the speedometer mounting tab.
