Please excuse me if this is the wrong section, I only saw "Rally videos" threads and I don't want to post in them haha.
Here is a video of my friend and I doing a very popular ride here in Az: Tortilla Flats / Apache Trail Motorcycle Ride  FJ1200 and FZ-8

On my channel you can find quite a few riding videos: Dirtbike YZ426f, XJ600 Seca II, FJ1200.
Here's another short video from the FZ-8 camera, the FJ makes a few appearances (the bike with the pillion rider). Payson Motorcycle Ride

I wanted to share with you guys because there's not enough videos of FJ's out there!
I like to make clean, quick edits so the videos are all shortened to just show all the highlights and not a 30 minute video of me on a straight road.
I am also open to any constructive criticism on my riding.

Have a great day!  :yahoo:

So story to tell  :mail1:

On the Payson ride my left handle bar detached itself (bolt snapped) and my left turn signal lens exploded (yes, exploded, into pieces) off of my bike while accelerating super hard. I had a heart attack!!! I managed to stop safely and reattach the handle bar with some wire I had until I got home. I got it fixed and ordered a new lens. Driving with one arm on a highway sucks. I still had fun though.

Nice vids. The quality is way better than I can get with my flip. Interesting range of shots, I've got some work to catch you. I know how long these things can take to edit and polish.

I can't offer any constructive riding advice because I was watching your friend ride. Now she can ride!!!!!   :good2:    Dave
A pistol is like a parachute, if you need one and don't have one you will never need one again.

FJ MCC VII

Roosevelt Lake east of Apache Junction? Impressive vid and riding. Impressive riding partner too.
The Yamaha FJ is the perfect motorcycle - comfortable enough to ride 500 miles in a day, fast enough to do it in 7 hours. Really.

I use my Flip camera for everything that doesn't involve riding lol. Great cameras, SUPER easy to use!.

Just sharing some info: I took under under my wing as a new rider to teach her how to ride. Well... she kicks my ass now lol. She's got more balls and handling skills than I do. I can only own her in wheelies and drag races. It's cool though cause she's a real rider and not some girl who is doing it for attention (I know a couple, one has a pink GSXR 600 that gets ridden once a month, and has never seen the highway). That Payson video is 100% all her on the FZ-8. I lost her on the highway as I could not keep up, mostly due to my safety concerns as I had a pillion. But I'm still sure she would have smoked me.

Ok, Since no one has asked already, in the first video how come your bike only has one mirror, and the girl only wears one glove. is it a fashion statement, or something more sinister?????

Good clear vids btw. :good:

Nice videos, that actually make me want to watch them. Well edited, decent music and not boring like so many riding videos can be.. It looks like you're having riding fun, which is what it's all about..!

Have fun and stay safe.  :good2:

It looks like it was Canyon Lake, on the way to Tortilla Flats.....................I've ridden/driven that a number of times when I lived in Mesa.
Great stretch of road when there is little/no traffic......I always liked the stretch after Tortilla Flats, the few miles before it turned to a dirt road.........Nice fast sweepers, and never any cars  :yahoo:

I bet the water was cold!

Lol, my bike only came with one mirror. I plan on doing the CBR mirror upgrade with 2. And she didn't wear her gloves to the gas station where we met up and dropped one on the way and didnt notice. She found it on the way home  :good:

#1 reason why I love the ride: no cops. We don't do anything stupid dangerous, but it's nice to let go and not worry about a single thing. I do this ride at LEAST once a month. The road after Tortilla is where I've been learning how to turn better :)
