I think I can do better than that on a foggy mountain road in a downpour with a bald front tire...

Flatlanders got no skillz.

Nah you are just bringing back fond memories of the 2009 fall rally. But thanks anyway.

Maybe they were all just enjoying some recreational substances and things just kind of slowed.........
I've often been asked, 'What do you old folks do now that you're retired'?

"Well. I'm fortunate to have a chemical engineering background, and one of the things I enjoy most is turning beer, wine, Scotch, and margaritas into urine."

I'm sorry sir, there are no refunds on this ride.  If you would like to file a complaint, please take a number and join the line forming over to the left.  While you wait, there will be a video to watch for your enjoyment.  Please see first page of this thread.

Thank you for playing and please come back often.  We have some nice parting gifts for you ... your very own bottle of bike wash and wax!!!

Hey! I don't cross the lines, but I apex some corners five or six times... it's my complex strategy for dealing with possible road issues ahead!

...thats my story and I'm sticking to it...

(Flatlanders don't ALL suck that bad, honest)

I really like the part where the rider is on a left hander and he  puts a knee out tilts the bike left and sits up straight.  :wacko3:

My wife was watching from her computer and leaned over to comment. "what a bunch  of pussy's, they are just trying to get rid of their chicken strips with all that counter balance bull shit".

Hey! That was me on the second bike!  Be nice!  Just kidding.  You knee draggers help me out.  I go into a corner, don't counter steer, stick a knee out 2 feet of the pavement, lean the bike one way, and lean my body the other way, right?  So I can keep the bike strait up during cornering, like a sidecar.  What kind of knee puck do I need, metal, plastic or extended?I call it the "cantilever style" :good2:.  NOTE; it was not me!  Really.  Seriously.

Try the flaming knee sliders, maybe we won't notice the rest of the impressive cornering technique.

I resisted posting when I first watched the video. Not being the fastest rider in the world I like to think I could hold my tongue, unless I knew the guy was a real ass hat. The nicest thing I can say is next time leave the camcorder at home. No need to have evidence such as this floating around the web.  :nea:  I now return to biting my lip.

I couldn't help thinking as I watched that this might have been de'ja vu, as you were kind enough to follow me one afternoon at my first rally. :empathy3: After all I did get passed by a Goldwing on the Dragon that year.

The guy with the camera did seem to have better skills but he is a friggin idiot. If I had someone riding up on my ass like he was, he would get his ass beat at the next stop. That guy is going to hit someone eventually. Of course they were going slow enough they probably would be ok.

AR123 is an awesome ride. The best part is the loop east of hwy 7 but the stretch west of 7 is very nice as well and alot longer. Not a real good road for beginners. Rode it twice this year and will probably get down there a couple times next year as well. I had no chicken strips left after this road on a brand new rear tire on my xs1100. Can't wait to get the FJ down there.
