External fuel blatter

Any of you guys rig there own blatter for running the engine without the tank on it.

Yes. Folks who have the gravity fed '84-'87s need one....folks who have the fuel pump models with the longer hose, can simply reverse their tanks and rest the tank on the subframe.
I used a old lawn mower tank hung with a coat hanger for many years, until my son bought me a Motion Pro tank for Xmas....either works just fine.

Ah huh Thats a good idea. I can use the little tank off my outboard. Did you use a reducer to go from hose to hose?

I use an old 1 liter water bottle. Drilled a hole in the cap small enough that the 10 MM fuel line wedges in and seals, inverted it and added wire to hang it by. Drilled another small hole the top (was originally the bottom) so I can fill it. Added a stopcock to control fuel flow. 1/2 a liter is plenty of fuel for syncing the carbs.

Nope, the small hose off the Motion Pro fits inside the large Yamaha hose feeding the carbs....

I use a small (cheap) universal radiator overflow tank, purchased at Autozone for around $7-$8
The clear hose came with it, and came with a hanger bracket......................

Bunch of good ideas. I had one of those overflow bottles for 3 or 4 years and thought I'd have a use for it then thru it out last summer.

I had a 3/8" threaded air barb that I tried to thread into a plastic jug and make a funnel. It leaked and was very awkward. Like juggling kittens as I worked. Maybe just forcing the rubber tube in to the bottle would work much better.

I like Allan's.  I had been thinking about buying a used mini bike or small dirt bike tank and using that because it would probably have a shut off valve already on.
