CBR1100XX Windscreen mod

I have ordered and received a new more pronounced double bubble windscreen.

Here is the comparison photos. The silver one has already been cut and fitted to the FJ. The smoked larger one has not been cut and fitted yet.

Fred - did you order it from the same ebay seller?  Did it show up in 10 days like the mirror one?  Is the bubble the same width?  Just taller?  Curious because I ordered a smoked one a few days ago...

I did not get the new windscreen from the same seller. The smoked windscreen was only $17.00, free shipping, and shipped from within the US and arrived in 6 days.

The bubble seems to be a hair wider and has a less pronounced edge where the radius changes.

I will post up photos once I have it installed.

I want to do this does any body have a 86 and 87 windshield that they can line up to see how different they are...for what Fred paid to do this it's a good Mod!

It won't work for 86 87.too flat. I wonder what other one might fit the 86.

I may buy another pair of these double bubble windscreens, trim them to fit and put them on eBay for sale. I wonder how well they would sell???

I wonder if it would work with the 84' 1100.... I wanna try it out once I find an upper faring.... When I got the bike the upper faring was trashed...

I know this thread is 7 years old. I recently was contacted about this mod. I still have the original Chrome version that was my first. I have made a few since. The first iridium version was sent to an owner in England and looks absolutely stunning on his FJ. I made one for personal use, although stunning, it doesn't work was well with the Red stripes on Casper. I did a clear version that actually is almost a perfect fit. I had to mask off the lower portion and spray it Black to cover the ugly parts of the main fairing.
Using an existing photo. There is a side-by-side comparison with Steve Beumann's 1989 and Casper.
