when i was a kid growing up in California, there was a good bit of Portuguese families in my neighborhood. one of the older men Joe (go figure a Portuguese named Joe),had all these berry plants growing in his front and back yards. he made wine with the berries. you could drink 2 glasses, maybe 4 to 6 oz. then try to walk...lol that stuff would knock your ass down as fast as you could stand up.
