Hey guys,

I just got the bike and the battery needs replacing.  The Haynes service manual that came with it calls for a YB14L battery (through 1990).  The owners manual calls for XXXX and the dealer said their computer lists YB14L-A2 as the OEM battery.

Which one is it?

The dealer recommended this battery.  What do you guys think?  http://www.motobattbatteries.com/motobatt-mbtx14au.html

Here is what I use and recommend for the 84-90 FJ.

Yuasa AGM battery

Shorai Lithum Battery

I sold the Shorai today and I will have another tomorrow.

What Randy said.  He'll have you up and running in short order and his prices are spot on for a *genuine* Yuasa AGM battery.

I've been using Yuasa batteries for 20+ years in critical applications like my motorcycle when I'm 4,000 miles from home...In my sailboat when I've long since lost sight of land, in building security access systems, PBS phone systems...and in Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) in computer data centers running $million simulations that can NOT be interrupted.  The Yuasa batteries have always given me superior service over no-name or re-branded batteries...Good stuff!   :good2:
