If your windscreen is like my 86' then the lower fasteners are Well-nuts. They are great for blind-hole applications. 

Important note: The current standard size you will find damn near everywhere will not fit the FJ. The FJ uses a larger diameter, I got new ones from Randy.  www.RPMracingca.com http://www.rpmracingca.com/proddetail.asp?prod=M%2FC%3AWellNut

The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.
