Hi All

Just bought a 84 FJ, was standing for a couple of years.
The dogs chewed of all the wires. So i'm splicing.
In need of a wiring diagram for the 4point connector. There is a orange, black and grey wire that needs to go into the 4pointer.

Thanks
H

Welcome, I think the CDI wiring diagram has been posted a few times. Try the search function and also try the files section, it may have been posted there. Lots of good stuff in the files section. When you have the time, why don't you find the introduction section and tell us more about our new member. We like to hear how others came to be FJ owners.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

I don't have the full answer for you as I have a newer model.  But in an effort to get you started and to help someone else that can can look at there 84 pin layout on the connector  I will post a pin lay out picture from another member so you can use it as a reference point.  The photo is Medrider's. TNX Medrider  :good2:  The picture is for discussion of the pin layout only. So another member with an 84 can reference it.

Those wires are the control signals from the ignition pick-up's.  Black is ground and the grey and orange are from the 2 ignition pick ups on the lower left side of the engine.  I will keep digging but that's all I can contribute at the present.

G'day,
I had a quick look at the ignition box on my 85' FJ1100.
Using the picture supplied by Movenon, the following colours match the numbers:
1=orange
2=grey
3=black
4=no wire
5=red/white
6=black
7=yellow
8= no wire
9=orange
10=grey

Hope it helps...

cheers, Gareth

This may confuse you and me! I have a 85. It was made 8/84. I have a 1100L  owners manual and heres a shot of the schematic in that area

What confuses me- now that I'm trying to help is that the wire colors on the schematic don't match what I have on the 6 pin.

This is both sides of the 6 pin

This is the 4 pin and it matches the schem.
