Since the Husaberg is basically a KTM with blue plastic,  will lower it the same as the KTM 300 I had.  Lower the rear with an eccentric bushing in the lower shock mount and raise the forks 8mm.  This drops the seat 1".

It is a 2013 Husaberg TE 250 with a 300 top end.  It was used by Mike Lafferty in last years National enduro series.  Per the dealer where I bought the bike (he's friends with Mike), the bike last saw competition at the Texas event.  Texas is only the third of ten rounds. 

At the end of the season, the bike was returned to Husaberg for service and then available for sale to their dealers.  My bike has new plastics, graphics, tires, brake pads, cables, levers, chain and sprockets.  Mike runs a FMF pipe, but my bike has a new OEM pipe and silencer.  Husaberg TE's come with lights and electric starters.  My bike had those parts removed for competition, but the parts were included with the sale.  I had to pull the tank and plastics to install the wiring harness and there was no noticeable wear in any of the nooks and crannies.

Compared to a OEM Husaberg, my rims/wheels use Excel A60 rims instead of OEM DID rims.  My forks were replaced with WP CC forks vs WP 4CS forks.  Both fork and shock have been revalved, or at least have Factory Connection stickers with Mike Lafferty's name and set up information.  There's a really neat preload adjuster on the rear shock.  An 8 mm socket turns the adjuster CW or CCW to increase/decrease preload.

Some of the bling items include blue anodized billet triple clamps, clutch and brake master cylinder covers, clutch cover, TM design chain guide, Renthal twinwall handlebars.

I have not pulled the cylinder, but the part number on the cylinder head indicates an SX head, and the CDI is not OEM.  I did pull the pipe to see if any of my KTM exhausts would fit.  When I looked in the exhaust opening, the piston look new with no blow-by.  My baseline compression reading on a totally cold motor was 205 psi.

Some of the little details I've noticed are the carb and power valve cover vent lines were rerouted, and the carb vent lines have individual filters. The throttle cable is not OEM because the cable end are fixed to the threaded fasteners and can't pull out.  The Husabergs use a 3 piece plastic subframe.  Mine looks like the pieces were sealed together and additional fasteners were installed to prevent any opening at the seams.   Mike Lafferty is supposed to be a rear brake dragger, so the rear caliper is an older Brembo model that holds more fluid.  It also has a solid rear disc that supposedly better for mud.  The hydraulic clutch line has a spiral wound protective cover, the kill switch wire has some type of protective sleeve.  It even has some type of clip to keep the radiator cap from coming off.  Other bolts have been drilled and safety wired.  The more I look at the bike, the more little things I notice, and I've been aware of a lot of little tricks for KTM's for a long time.

I just need the snow to melt before I can do any real riding

I installed the headlight and taillight today.  My Xerox color copy license plate goes on next.  I'm not man enough to ride a bike with a milk crate.

Obviously not many dirt bike guys on this forum. Now that they are part of Husqvarna that is the last year from that brand as a separate company. Makes it even more unique.  Dave
