fuel catalyst

Hello,

When I got my FJ originally it had a "fuel cat" catalyser fitted in line with the fuel hose to the carb bank.  I left it off the bike as there was precious little room under there.

recently I met another motorcyclist who swears by them.  From the little research I have done it appears to improve octane efficiency.

+1.. Bunk...    Plus if your bike is gravity feed it just adds restriction to the fuel...  Anyone need a Cow Magnet  How about a air turbine for your air box ?

Yeah, but my magnetic fuel line attachment that realigns the gasoline ions works, right? Think they have been selling that one since the "50s.

Thats a pretty quick response time!  So you guys have used one or known of a person who has?  I never tried one, not sure I should.

I haven't personally  used one, but I did a lot of searching a few years ago on similar devices, including the clamp on magnet device around the fuel lines. I've never seen any analysis of the product claims that could be verified. Some of the like devices include the device that injects water vapor into the cylinders to provide a denser firing environment. Not something that I wanted to even try inside an iron block engine. I do know a woman who tried to heal her car with a crystal setting on top of the engine hood. That was years ago, and I don't know how that worked out, but I can guess.
Since you have the device, and don't have any preconceived ideas about it, you could try with and without and document the differences in performance, idle, mpg, etc.. I don't see how it can do any harm, worse case is a small performance hit, probable case is no difference. But, who knows? I wouldn't go buy one to play with, but since ya' got it...

Mr. Ramos seems to cover a lot of miles, maybe you could have him install it and document the differences (if any). If he tells you "No", then tell him it will make look taller and his Mom gave permission, forge a note from her if you have to.

If it lines up all you fuel molecules into a tight row, they will feed better. Stands to reason
