They were off the bike when I got it, and its been too long and too many bikes since my last 85 to remember where.

Thank you

That got me thinking, I've got this bolt that fell out of my car, I wonder if you folks could tell me were it goes....

Does your bike have a aftermarket kit with allen head cap screws? i.e. like the ones sold on e-bay
When you state "chrome" do you actually mean stainless steel or are they really chrome plated?
I suspect stainless steel...
What sizes? Why don't you go down to Ace Hardware and get us some more info. like:
1) length,
2) diameter and
3) thread pitch.

Perhaps we can narrow it down for you....

once again, I am sorry, they are 6 large shiny probably chrome plated factory bolts with allen heads, the head is 15/16's " in diameter, shaft length is 1 3/16 " in length but only 3/4" of that is threaded. it uses a 6mm allen wrench  to tighten and features a 8 x 1.25mm thread pitch.
I don't see anything of note missing, but I am just wondering where these might go or even if they belong to this bike at all, some parts were re-attached before I took ownership

No worries. These sound like aftermarket cap head bolts. Yamaha did not have and large chrome plated cap heads on the '85 FJ1100 like the size you've described. I have a '84 FJ1100.
Did your bike have any Givi hard bags or any type of hard luggage system?
These sound like they could be mounting bolts for the support frame.
What came with your bike? Rentec case saver bars? It's gotta be something aftermarket.

I have some of those bolts!! Not sure what year they came off of but they are the front foot peg mounting bolts. You should have 5 and the sixth is the shifter mount. :yahoo:
