Doug, even though I wasn't attending the WCR this year, I would still like to wish you well and peace for your mother at this time. A good son is always there for the one who gave them life.

I look forward to the next time we can ride together again.

After reading about Ron's epic 17K mile adventure I am planning to ride with the Cap'n, in style.  :yahoo:

:good2:  Excellent!  We'll do 600 miles over two days and I'll stick to my goal of less than 10% freeways!  Something close to this:

Mark - this is the way we went to the Petaluma Rally / and the way I went to my First Willits-- very nice ride.  Capn Ron -- Mark can tell you that hwy33 is a nice alternative to just saying on the 101 -- you just go via Ojai -- to Hwy 33 - up and over then make a left when you hit the end -- and that road takes you back to the 101.

PS  - Will miss you Baldy -- there was a sense of Royalty in our cabin last year.  Take care.

Your presence will be missed Baldy. Lilly is still talking about that rum that you brought to the last rally.

I think two official WCR's/year would be a great thing.  One in Northern California/Oregon to accommodate those coming from the higher latitudes...

:good2:

Weed, CA...or Yreka maybe?  Mt. Shasta, the Siskiyous, Klamath Mountains.

Just a thought, being one of the 'higher latitude' people.

I have been working on getting my trailer set up for the trip out to Willits.

I'd do that again...  was fun even with the rain.  The food and lodging setup was ideal!

Scott,

I will be bringing the Silver Fox, She is my pride and joy. I can't bring both, as I am stopping about half way there and adding Kurt (Yamaha fj rider) and his Blue 93'.

I wasn't there for the rally but had a contact with the Shasta Trinity NF many years ago in Hayfork.  Fond memories and I would go back anytime.  As I remember there were some tight corners between Weaverville and Hayfork.
