I was seriously considering trying to make it out to the WCR but after discovering it was only 2 days
Decided it wasn't worth it.

2 days, seriously?  Lame, very lame.  :bomb:

Lame, very lame did you say?

Thanks for the elucidation!

That's my problem - it is the company I keep...!

Wait 'till my folks hear about this...!

Keep smiling,

Here is a poll about a track day included for the WCR: http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=10829.15

Please vote so I know if I am wasting my time here or not.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't all the FJ Rally's 3 day events?

Many of us travel 2 days to get to the rally, spend 3 days at the rally, then travel 2 days to get home.

Regardless, many of us continue to ride the week following the Rally.
2 years ago after the Porterville WCR, a group of us went to Gunnison Colorado for a FJ Rally there.... Had a absolute blast.

Last year leaving from the WCR in Petaluma, we toured thru Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada before returning to SoCal.
All in all, a nice little 3,200 mile detour....the long way home so to speak...

Who knows where we will go this year...? Depending on the weather, I hear British Colombia is nice....

I would love our Rallies to be a week long event. I'm retired so I have the time, but unfortunately, many of us have jobs.

Sorry Scott, 3 days together is all we get, and yea, it is too short, although if you rationalize it enough, it could be a good excuse to stay home.

Yeah, some of us out here have spoiled ourselves and usually stretch the EC FJ rallies by a few days   :yahoo: , but 'officially' they're shorter.

One advantage we also have is that most attendees live within (albeit a long one for some) a day's drive.

And what an awesome time it was!  We had east coast, west coast, and central members join us here in Colorado too.............Thank you Pat, and everyone else who made the trek.
I even got to enjoy the company of Andy F, and Leon (and son) at my house for a night or two.........

I am looking forward to this year's WCR! :yahoo:

And on very twisty, winding roads too.
Dunno if the Flatlanders and  pan-handlers could cope with that,,,

I know I am late to the game --- but not too late as I got the last cabin.  Mike and I will be there -- looking forward to the roads Willits has to offer.   I will do my homework this time and look at the ride maps ahead of time...... although getting lost was a heap of fun last year.... so many twisties that you are never on a bad road.

Not later than Diane and me...  I reserved a spot yesterday, but the pickens are getting slim.

I just booked one of the two remaining cabins!   :yahoo:   It's not one of the ones in FJ Owner's row, but not far away.  As of this moment, only cabin K2 remains unbooked for those dates (also not in FJ row).

I'll be getting there mid-day on Wednesday the 28th if anyone wants to do some early riding!   :good2:

:good2:  Excellent!  We'll do 600 miles over two days and I'll stick to my goal of less than 10% freeways!  Something close to this:
