Maybe No Drag Racing In Hungary This Year :(

I just learned that the drag track that I race at has scheduled only (3) one-day events in 2014. It's about a 5-hour ride to get there, and their event in August is on a Thursday, which also includes cars. I was really looking forward to racing this year, but I'm pretty disappointed. :sorry: For months now, I've been talking smack to a Hungarian friend who rides a GSX-R 1000.

The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

How many events do they normally schedule?

Normally a couple small events, then a 3-day event in August. The last time I raced was in 2011. It was a Friday - Sunday event, only motorcycles I think.

Oh yeah, I have no "racer licence" either. I just sign a release form and race the whole weekend on their 1/4 mile track for about $20 TOTAL.

Thanks, great post. I wonder if the track got better offers this year that bring in more revenue, might explain the reduction in open track time. But based on your earlier posts, what they do defies logic.  :wacko2:
