They put 'em on at $349 fairly often.

I got one this summer... IIRC, the coupon was for $299, and with taxes the total was $314.

I always knew I needed one of these, but until I got one, I never knew how much!    :good:

I had the same questions about them, until I was at a friend's hangar and saw his V65 Sabre up on one and asked him about it.  He assured me it was fine, and even grabbed one of the bars and jerked the bike back and forth with the table fully raised (no tiedowns, just the front wheel vise in use).  It seemed plenty sturdy and stable, so I put it on my wish list and Susan got me one for my birthday.

Actually, she found the $349 coupon and went down to HF to get it for me, then she saw the size and weight of the crate (which she'd planned to haul in her Acura MDX  :rofl2:

Instead, she got me a $349 gift card and I bought it with the $299 coupon I'd had stashed on my desk...  don't ya know, they also happened to have the polishing wheel I wanted on sale at the same time!

A friend of mine that has a ST1300 has a Harbor Freight lift. I have seen his bike on it a few times. I have had my 89' on it and I felt absolutely content with having it on the Harbor Frieght lift.

Yes, The lift is on my wish list.

Seen those under $300 before tax more than once.

Welcome to Cyber Monday!  We kick prices down from their normally inflated numbers, and make you think it's a good deal!!!

Maybe I'm bitter.. Been having an eye on a certain Orient watch.  Orient USA has a whopping 40% off..... and still isn't even in the ballpark of the people I normally get them from.  Still wish the Mako was available in white, I'd buy two in a heartbeat.  Seriously, compliments every time I wear this thing.  Have one in black, blue, and yellow.  (Orange is awful.).

Anyhow, end rant.  One of many..

One of those would be nice. Currently using an electrically lifted hospital bed! It was only $100-, but works pretty well. Only cautionary note about Harbor Freight is from my friend who is on his third transmission jack/lift. Has had two whose hydraulic cylinders crapped out after a short time. Swarf and poor seals. Hopefully an isolated occurence.

A couple of the reviews I read mentioned pump failures, which were attributed to the owners not following instructions on completely filling the pump.  No problems with mine so far.

I bought my lift (same as pictured, only yellow) about 4 years ago from Princess Auto ... (same chain of stores?).... I paid $300 before tax then and it worked well.  It lifted the bike fine and seemed quite stable.

In less than a year, though, the hydraulic seal started to let go and worsened over time. Eventually, it died and the hydraulic bottle jack and ram became useless.  At Princess Auto, the prices of the replacement parts cost close to the price of a new lift....  so, ... I removed the hydraulics and rigged up a detacheable winch assembly to do the lifting. If I was more skilled with hydraulic service and had access to the parts needed, I imagine the lift would be easy to maintain.  I still use it and I wonder how I did without it for so long.  However, If I bought another of those lifts I would do so knowing that the hydraulics could fail fairly soon.....

I've had mine for 3 years now with no problems and one of the best tools for my bikes . I have no problem throwing my 800+lb  victory hammer up on it and lift it to the top! Would buy another one if I had the money for it !!!

I bought one a few years ago and it's been perfectly fine.  My back is so much happier I don't have to hunch over the bike to work on it.

Didn't use the included wheel "clamp", but went with a wheel vise.. Holds any bike I put on the table just fine.. never worried about it coming off.
