We're here again! Got here yesterday, staying at Hunt's Lodge, for Jeff's Sabre/Magna rally. Jeff and I rode across the Skyway this morning. Rain and fog....lots and lots of it! Not fun! The Dragon was light today. Came back across the Skyway home and still fog at the top, but thankfully no rain.

I've been given a little "to-do" list by someone on here to check out a road. So that  will be done either tomorrow or Sunday.

Lots of leaves on the road. The leaves are changing colors up high.

Ok that's all for now....This group ain't like ya'll....so dont' worry I ain't switching! In other words ya'll stuck w/me now! :good2:

Nancy,

Hope you are taking it easy with the road condition you have.   I think you need to get you a VF or barrow one from Jeff V-4's next time you ride with his group     or not   :scratch_one-s_head:

Hope you are having fun, be safe and have a safe trip back to FL.

Oh, being stuck with you not all bad  and it is definitely better than being stuck with me

Later.....  :bye2:

Sorry Dean, didn't get your email till just now and we are on our way home, south of Macon. Jeff and I rode yesterday ALL DAY. One of our favorite routes, you know across the Cherohala, 28 to Franklin and then that twisty road from outside of Franklin back to 19. Then back across the Cherohala. Lot's of people looking at the leaves. And I wont' lie the leaves were very pretty. But I was beat by the time we rode back into camp.

I saw parts of the Cherohala that I haven't seen before. Starting out we came into clouds/fog again, but broke out of that soon to SUNSHINE! I was actually able to see how the Cherohala twists back and forth coming down the mtn.

But let me tell everyone that Hunt's Lodge is a great place to stay. Granted Friday night we were under tornado warnings and it was raining, but I thought in advance and brought 2 tarps and we hung those from the canopy to block the wind/rain. So we kept dry. I slept really well that night. Last night, all the people from the SabMag rally went home so we got a cabin. WHAT a relief as we got up this morning to rain. But the cabins are wonderful. The beds don't even need an air mattress. And Lori/Jack put real sheets on the beds with pillows. I definitely recommend them.

Saturday, we did the motorcycle junk yard crawl. Went to Six Mile Cycle and poke around and I came home with a rear tailpiece for my bike. Never know someone or me might need it some day. Jeff got a side panel for the 500 interceptor. We also went to another cycle salvage yard that had lots of newer bikes.

As for the road I was supposed to check on, it would be great for dual sport, but not for the FJ.

Let me add more...
Coming back across the Cherohala last night, Hardley's were everywhere and they were not moving out of my way! The FJ became a Hardley eater! Even Jeff commented that I got in the groove and was passing everything.

So today, right now we are headed home and hopefully are going to get out of this rain soon.
