Well, this happened as an organic process, the planets came into alignment and 4 SoCal FJowner's were ready to ride. Myself, no introductions required, Mike from San Dimas, an attendee of a few rallies and loved by many, Mike (Skymasteres) I think we are familiar with his trials and blown up engines. Frank from Long Beach, just got his awesome 84' sorted out and back on the road.

Our second stop with Frank and Mike on the Crest

What I call Klavdy Corner, its in my GPS, I stop and pay homage.... The end of Klavdy's bike was the rebirth of Franks awesome bike....

We met San Dimas Mike in Wrightwood:

Had some good tucker at the pub, thanks Mike, Good call if one requires a Bloody Marry that early in the morning. I passed only on the carbs, needed  some real food.

I have no pics of my completely stupid U-turn move when I pulled in front of Frank. Two bikes went down and I caused it, it as low speed and minor damage but simple, STUPID on my part. Mike said his GoPro did not catch just how stupid my move was... Any way I caused two bikes to go down, mine and Frank's. Frank let his bike drop to save me and my pinned Left foot under my bike. That said, they are free to add their part of the slow speed train wreck that broke rule #1...

Then we had some lazy slow speed stuff and some really boring slab and traffic. I got off rack and missed a good road but I was distracted from being such a Dumb Sit and broke Rule #1. Back on track we got into to the twisties again. Back at Newcomb's Ranch Mike (Skymasterers) linked up or Sena sets, it was nice to call back issues on road conditions as I found rocks, Crap  and Pine Cones to help one make good lane choices...

Once back on to the fun roads and past the residential parts of Spunky Canyon road we picked up the speed. I hit a corner and had a pucker moment, hit the brakes to scrub off speed and make the tight Right hander. Frank and Mike did just fine behind me but then I heard "Aw Shit!!!!" Mike (Skymasteres) went down. I turn around and he has his bike up by then. I will let Mike fill in the details, his Go Pro was not on so we need to take his word in it. He had Renntec bars and all the gear and had little damage/injury for his low speed low side. Took a short, let the adrenalin cool off, break. Poor Mike from San Dimas was dreading his fate, 3 out of 4 in the group has gone down... Poor bastard.... Thinking he is next, he may never ride with me again....

He was gonna hit a dirt wall....

More to come...

He was gonna hit a dirt wall....

We stopped at a good vista point above Bouquet Canyon reservoir.

Good shot of Franks cool 84... The good side.... The scoop protector took the hit....

Some self shots, I really don't do them...

I like how my helmet has that single tooth look...

Not sure if they are posted properly...

Our next stop was Big Oaks on Bouquet Cyn, beer was an option but we needed to hydrate and drank Ice Tea. Then off to Wolf Creek for some good local brew. The German Wheat was really good, I liked the IPA.... After that, we hit the slab and the ride was done....

Crashes and all it was good and the issues minor thanks to Renntec and proper PPE (the gear we wear)... I think the new SoCal rally may have just been born....

Frank is hosting the next ride in his nick 'O' the woods, Santa Monica Mountains.... Think of the Tail of The Snake, Rock Store.... I can't wait...

Sorry I missed this ride!

I never like hearing that one of the brethren has taken a spill, but it sounds like it was all minor "walk it off" sort of stuff.  I'm healing well from my last ride with FJMonkey...wait, is anyone seeing a pattern here?   :shok:     I have all my new gear on the way and I'm down for the next ride.  Let me rephrase that...I'm UP for the next ride!

The pattern has been broken and the Monkey is not immune.... I caused the first mishap when I turned into Frank trying to U-turn, rookie mistake... But yes, all minor thanks to good gear and not going balls out crazy... We still enjoyed the ride in-spite of issues with gravity.... Frank wants to host in the Santa Monica Mountains area and I am looking forward to it. Hope you are ready to join in Capt'n Ron.... You will fit in nicely with this motley bunch of FJ riders...

I think Mike (odd man out not having gone down) bought a round for us. He must know how this works, we took one for the Gipper and spared his sorry ass, he is welcome to make the next ride..... Crashing sucks, but getting free drinks....  :drinks:

Plenty of time left this year to ride, its SoCal, we can ride year round. Once Randy does his magic on your bike we can put some miles on.

Mike 86 in San Dimas

You guys were too tense, you needed the bloody mary and tequila shots to loosen up man. I had a front row seat for the show. The U turn trick happened in slow motion it was almost funny, except I was really worried about Franks bike...oh and Marks leg under the it all.  :pardon:

Maybe I should have had them check if my head was on straight?  :shok:
