Hi all. Any body know the max wear limits for the brake rotors for a road worthy?
Mines a 87 and the work manual states 7.5mm thickness but no wear limits. It does for the pads.
I'm booked in for a road worthy and would like to know what the law is?
Measured mine and fronts are 7.4mm and the rear is 7.05mm. All seem reasonably smooth with no big wear marks.
Cheers Timbo.
Life's been good to me so far....

fj11.5

Going from memory its either 3.5 or 4.0mm, , actually that's only for 88 and up ,,fronts for 87 are min 7mm so you sshould be ok
unless you ride bikes, I mean really ride bikes, then you just won't get it

84 Fj1100  effie , with mods
( 88 ) Fj 1200  fairly standard , + blue spots
84 Fj1100 absolutely stock standard, now more stock , fitted with Fj12 twin system , no rusted headers for this felicity jayne

Here is some information that might help. I think they are indicating the min thickness is 6mm, but whats 1mm between beers...
