I would like to be there. Reminds me of the Knox Mountain hillclimb that used to happen on the long weekend in May. This would be in Kelowna B.C. Was a great time. Big R

I wanna go!   :good:

Yep, planning to do a lap there on the way home from the Snowy 11th March 2014. Will be watching the Oct races from the Manshed.

Was even better when they had bike races. (1938 to 1994 and was regarded as one of the World`s most dangerous bike tracks).

I first camped on the hill with wifey in 1970. She drove through the gates at 2 am by herself with a trailer full of dirt bikes and three sets of leathers hang`n in the back of tha 1967 HR panel van- we couldn`t afford the price of the entry tickets for all of us.

...ahhhh memories...sorry I digress...but yeah, still makes me all tingly.  :drinks:

I've got some great memories from attending the bike races back in the mid 70's through to the mid '80s, I think? Had such a good time riding there with a group of mates and camping on the Mountain. That was until the arsehole cops decided that everyone on the Mountain was only there to cause trouble and used riot squads the beat anyone and everyone with batons. Ah, those were the days!   :yahoo:  Pete.

Went to Bathurst 79, 80 and 81. Managed to avoid the police baton charges. Loved watching Croz pulling wheelies downhill through the dipper

This is worth a look. Gives you an idea about the difference between NASCA and V8 Supercars. An American's View of the Bathurst 1000

Real shame the Easter Bike races at Bathurst are no more.
The fukking NSW TRG pigs should all drop off the face of the earth - assholes!

Great racing on a horribly dangerous track.  Several sections you had a choice. if you lost control, of the wall or the cliff.  On some others, the choice was the wall or the wall.
