I had a LLOOOOOOONNNNGGGG day working on my dear FJ today. swapped the forks & carbs off my parts bike & I installed an HID kit that I've had waiting almost 2 years now.

Only got out for a very short ride (20 miles or so) & it was dark. The bike handles so amazing with rebuilt 92 forks compared to my shot 85 stockers. The carbs off the parts bike seem to make my bike very happy, happier than it's ever been. Same power but it seems to come on smoother now.

I'm pretty sure I need to rebleed the front brakes. 10x better than my 85 brakes but they are definitely a teeny bit spongy. Do you guys run DOT3 or DOT4. Clymer says 4 but my master says 3. I only had 3 on hand so that's what it got.

I'm a little disappointed in the HID. 6K & it's some kind of off brand, IDK what I was expecting, it's a bright bulb in a stock housing, still way better than stock.

Next week I'll get some new tires as my fork swap & matching rear are pretty beat. IDK about you guys but I LOOOVVVEEEE new tires  :yahoo:

DOT 3 and 4 are pretty much interchangeable, DOT 4 has a bit higher boiling point.
