Recently bought a mint 85 FJ1100 with 14,000 miles.  I've upgraded to a 55W HID headlamp and am now looking to replace the turn signals with something a bit less intrusive than those ugly stockers. I'm looking at the Rizoma Action and thinking I'll need the spacers as well.  Anyone with this mod have any suggestions for installation?  Any issues replacing the bulbs for leds - fast flashing, canceling signals, etc.?

The signals will come with in-line resistors to add enough load to the system to keep the flasher from going nuts.

I have the Rizoma Zero signals on the back of my 87.  They are really damn bright..

As far as spacers, I can't tell ya..

BHarvey60,
I can't advise you, but I am interested in starting the same type of turn signal project too, and I'd like to hear how your project comes out.
What 55W HID headlamp did you use?  Any tricks to that upgrade?
Thanks,
Red

P.S. Life is too short, and health is too valuable, to ride on cheap parade-duty tires.

I also ran the Rizoma Zero indicators on my 87, and liked them a lot also.  As Garth said, they each come with enough resistors to do the job, and the instructions are pretty clear and easy to understand (at least for me).  In regards to the Actions, I'd be surprised if they didn't come with everything you need.  About the only real complaint I have with the Rizoma's is the cost, and the packaging.  Meaning you have to purchase them individually, and not as a set of 2.  At about $40 each, they are damn expensive.  Still, they do look great and at least in the case of the Zero's, I can tell you that they are definitely bright, even in broad daylight.  If nothing else, that made them worth the price to me.

As for the spacers, I'm assuming that you are talking about the extension tubes, and whether you need them or not, is really up to your sense of aesthetics, as well as your tolerance for concern of conforming to legal requirements.  In the US, rear turn signals have to be spaced at least 9 inches apart, and if you didn't know, that is the typical width of a US state license plate.  Front turn signals have to be at least 16 inches apart with the proviso, that they also be 4 inches from the nearest luminous edge of the headlight.    Unfortunately, I don't know what the requirements are in other countries.  However, the RIZOMA signals are in compliance with European Homologation standards, and supposedly are legal in the U.S. as well. So if you are concerned with keeping within regulation, you just need to check your local regs to see if you'll need them.
