Even the best of friends

I was wondering if anyone in here has met a friend.....even a good friend.....and somehow watched it vanish into thin air. I have had something like that happen to me...and I have to say it hurts......just wish we could all find the courage to just say....."Hey man.....I'm sorry.....I didn't mean to hurt you"..... I don't know why "sorry" is so hard to say........I am sure some of you can relate to how I feel. I am sorry Paul. Lets work it out..

I have been down that road, and know exactly how you feel, I wont go into details of what happen to me and my best friend, But things flared and words said, and for about 3 years, not a word spoken, I felt like I lost another brother, So, Swallowing my pride, instead of calling, I just showed up at his house and we made are amends, and have been best friends again now for years,and have a better kinship for it, So, If there is any advise I can give you on this, Whether it was your friends wrong doings or yours, or even a combination of the two of you, Don't let pride factor in!, Make the first step, You never know what can come of it if you don't try.  Best of luck, I hope you and the one you called friends can be again

+ 1  Been down the road named Regret a few times.... Along the way I learned the life is way to short. Wish I could go back and do things differently. Just to make that one phone call or just to sit and listen.

I recently met a FJ Owner on this very sight, he needed some help on his bike. I rebuilt a part he was unable to source, rebuilt his slave cylinder and got his clutch working again. gave him some parts and generally got his bike running properly. He was certainly pleased at the time. We chatted several times about riding together. Not long after the repair work was done he stopped taking calls and appears to have vanished from sight. It happens....

Long lasting friendships are mostly due to short memories or as a good friend of mine once said " Your best friends are people who know how you are and like you anyway"

lol......you would think after 49 years I would have already known that.......I guess I am a consumate idealist and always try to see the best in everything....even if it means lying to myself........funny story....I used to be involved with this really hot girl...and a I mean a 10.....smoken...anyway....she played a little tennis with my heart until I caught her lying....well thats when she  quoted me that famous cliche......about how the "truth hurts"....and thats when I told her ...that the truth only hurts when someone leads you to believe a lie !!!   I have no hate in me....life is way to short to leave myself open to that cancer...I honestly don't know how people live with it............. chin up ....chest out.....smile fixed !!!! thx for sharing

My best friend and i had a falling apart. 15 years later he found me on facebook.we are good friends now not best friends mainly because we live so far apart now. Now a days i have too many too spend time with. Somewhere along the way I discovered if you want friends you gotta be a friend first. But not always too. Lol

Great album......my favourite drummer (Barrimore Barlow) played on it ........." Reconstruction" was an even better album although Mr. BB did not play on that one !!! Some great gospel music out there...just not in the mainstream...

Tiger........John.....I am truly truly sorry for the things that I said and posted on this site concerning you. I have always had the highest respect and affection for you and your friendship.....and I miss your company and friendship. I have absolutely no excuse for my conduct or the things which I said and am profoundly ashamed of myself and my behavior. I can not rewind the clock and change it...all I can do is say how deeply sorry I am. I truly miss you and so does snowball :empathy3:. Please try to forgive me  :blush:... I would very much like to sit down face to face and make it right again..... :drinks:
