Just tried to call the Cherahola Mountain Trails Motorcycle Campground and discovered all cabins are booked.
The wife isn't into tenting it so I found some cabins in Tellico plains that look nice and are reasonably priced. My questions are 1- is anyone else staying anywhere but the CMT campground. 2- how far is the CMT campground from downtown Tellico Plains. 3- is anyone else bringing their split tail along. If I come alone ill tent it. Thanks

It's only about 5-10 minutes from the campground to Tellico Plains.

If you've never been there, it's a small 'map dot' sort of place... pretty cool.

scott,

carey, herny and i are staying at the tellico log cabins.  if you're familiar with tellico at all, they're just down the road from the little gas station that is right at the foot of where the cherohala skyway starts.  but i believe those are all booked up.  i believe the majority are staying at a motorcycle-themed campground, nancy russell or nancy gutshall should have more info.  cue nancies.

i assume you checked the forum section on the fall rally...

Who has a cabin spot for me?

Will be trailering this year and bringing both bikes. Street and dirt.
