Really, really sucks right now. Had my fiance on the back of the bike last night, and boy, she loves riding! A keeper! not the point tho. the point is that the half a$$ed job the road leveling crew is doing on the new bits of highway, and the fact that apparently its now in vogue for cagers to come to a dead stop on the onramps (no traffic, no reason). ahhh. feels good to vent. The Fj pulled hard and stopped well for an 85 with all stock components (except for an f41 rear shock), the rear shock felt like it bottomed out once, but im 230 and she is probably around 140...

i was just thru there last week and you're right.... i think the road crews are setting themselves up for future work by screwing the road up as they put it down..... are those jumps on the highway?  should we call red bull to setup some cameras?

I asked Calvin if they had completely stopped making people take a drivers test.... i guess nowadays the brain dead just roll past the DMV and they toss a license at them (as long as they are breathing)

it's definitely survival of the fittest out there..... let your guard down once and  it may just be the last time. :dash1:

A lot of truth in what "racerman" said. I will say that riding a bike for many years has made me a better driver also. Your awareness is increased at a minimum. I expect drivers to do anything at any time, traffic laws are good but they apply to legal matters not your health.

On the shock, how much more preload do you have ? Also there is the compression adjustment.
