cleaned connections etc

hi again , a couple of days ago i cleaned a lot of connectors, and sorted some grounds , battery leads etc, after doing this the revs went from about 1000 rpm when at operating temp upto 1200 rpm, i did seperate the throttle switch and gave it a spray, anyway i pulled it apart again today while it was idling to see if it was caught up anywhere and all seems well, my question ,is it possable to increase reves purely on giving the loom a bit of TLC? thanks in advance again, cheers ken
