Hi guys, my motad Neta's are getting a little crusty and to be honest i dont much like them anyway. Have any of you guys messed about modifying your exhaust system? My downpipes are good and i have a Stainless Steel collector box, i would like to keep the twin silencer set up but just want a better looking set of Silencers with a deeper sound that wont cost me a fortune

I've got a pair of XJR1300 silencers on mine. They're pretty quiet - I suppose you could drill the ends for more noise.

ànything will fit if you force it   ,, seriously if you can find a set of set of slip ons with a 51mm inlet and max !!110 mm across, they should  fit,, im using a set of stainless miçron just had to make two extension pipes from the collector
unless you ride bikes, I mean really ride bikes, then you just won't get it

84 Fj1100  effie , with mods
( 88 ) Fj 1200  fairly standard , + blue spots
84 Fj1100 absolutely stock standard, now more stock , fitted with Fj12 twin system , no rusted headers for this felicity jayne

I rode up and back to Bellingen from Melbourne (~3438kms) with "Bozo" and he had fitted R1 titanium silencers to his '89.  They looked good, sounded ok, not too loud, and according to him were "light as".
He also said he'd had to get middle pipes made up to fit them that cost more than the mufflers.

Thanks Guys, i managed to locate a pair of Art race cans with xjr1300 link pipes at a real bargain price, they look smart and sound wonderful, my Bike has very much improved power through the gears, the Beast has been unleashed :yahoo:

Care to share details for other UK peeps, or was it a 'flea pay' find!
A life has been well lived, if you have planted trees under who's shade you do not expect to sit.

I'm told I'm cynical, pessimistic and generally miserable. I say that I'm realistic! The fact that reality sucks is not my fault!

Yes it was a flea pay find, best £60 i ever parted with, my fj has a bit more poke through the gears and the sound is awesome! These Bikes just deserve some good cans!
