Dave, that's some serious luggage carrying capacity you have there.

Have you got heated grips?

I notice the bike is left running in the photos. Looks like it would freeze solid if you turned it off for more than 30 secs.

Do you wear something warm over your leathers, at the expense of not being able to show off your new gear but remaining warm?

Have I got heated grips?

Erm...no.  I have browsed the dreaded eBay for a set, and was torn between Oxford and a cheaper set (similar, 5 heat settings)

What's put me off for starters was the price of them.

Oh, and we can't get a bar end off for the life of us.  SOLID.  We mashed the ends of the allen head after applying MEGA heat to the end.

Then out came the impact driver.  All to no avail. So I thought "bugger it" and left it on.  Even used a Stilson on it!  Never moved.  I need a new bar and will have to cut the old one off.

As for the boxes, I don't think they are big enuff, cos they don't hold everything I need.  Still have to use a tank bag AND put a board across the panniers to use as a platform for more stuff (saves wrecking the seat).  And I wear a backpack toos ometimnes, depending what I need.

I was looking into a trailer tow/ball set up for the back end, and a 3rd wheel on me left (like a side car racer....just the platform).

Then, I could take me dog out for a KoOkaloo -ooow-ooooo-owowowowowo! ride too.

He has the helmet, goggles and bandana.  All I need is to make a cusion on the platform and he'd be set!

Oh...I'd have to rig up 2 left side knee sliders for him...and a red and white waistcoat......

Doggy Style:

Sidecar:

Tailbag:

Saddlebag:

Handlebar/Tank Pad:

...or the ASPCA-sanctioned "safe" method:

BTW, congrats to you on figuring out how to post pictures!

Mr Aviation Fred posted a link on another thread, with a link for ebay and a neat little tank bag that can carry a pooch!!

Thanks for that!  Thankfully that was a joke and I DON'T have one of those piddly yappy little runts (the tea-cup chihuahua).

I got me a proper dog.  Manic as the day is long.  Choccy Labrador.  So...I may need a bigger tank bag!

Here he is in front of the Beeza.

(popcorn)

It is, and he's signed his name on both tyres too, just to be sure!

Not our house tho.  That pic was taken at my Fathers, as he had a bloody good selection of old Whitworth and BS sockets n spanners!

We ran out in the car to "borrow a few", and to sort the clutch at the same time. (Beeza previously taken to his to work on and was outside under a cover)

But, a man after my own heart...."why the hell work out in the cold....grab that board and get in the warm".

Sweet!  Coffee on tap, and old fart expertise free of charge!

When he came down to mine, he had to manouvre round the "being re-born" FJ in the kitchen!

At the moment, I have a CB750 DOHC in my upstairs spare bedroom, all in bits spread out and threatening to come thru the ceiling!.

The joys of not having a woman to bitch and complain!!
