Recently i feel that it might not be wright.. somehow the bike kinda wants to be red and white.

I agree with your recent feelings - Unless you`re a streetfighter, why change the spots on tha Leopard.

had to change effies spots, to either make her mine, stand out, or blend in, depending how you look at things

  o'corse the fj looks good ( thanks dave!! yours makes mine look like an old rust bucket tho.... your forks.... dribbles ) was just curious. and for my 2c worth it has to be either red white.... or the beasty black n gold version..... got dedicated the other day and took all the fairing off, fixed the fuel gauge( a fellow here said a small drill and some guitar wire.... i used some cable i had from an old model tank.... chuckles) and then proceeded to pad all the old rubbers on the fairing with new soft stuff...... lurverly!!! no squeaks no rattles ( well.... not as many.... but i can now here my centre stand go "clunk" on the pipes over big bumps.... must replace that rubber!!!)  don't know if anyone knows so i will share... the mirrors CAN be welded  ( snapped l/h side off dropping the bike at running speed trying to bump start the old girl...long story) but they do contain something other than aluminium to add strength to the mirror stem... have been told its magnesium.... but i'm not sure.... coupla tacks  a bit of a dress up with a linisher and files and i saved meself 140 odd bucks. and... well this is just me.... whenever i talked my bike up... stuff would break on her.... if i talked her down to people she'd run forever.... was leaving my house ( the pub where i live) with a mate and as we walked out he said i should " burn that ol' piece o' sh*te"  then got in his car with me, reversed out and half his front bumper went crack and broke away.... polterbike? chuckles
