I remember a thread awile back about the Gas pump nozzles in California being a pain in the rear. I remember having an adaptor that holds the fume collector hose back. I came across it the other day. I haven't lived in California in 17 years, it has been sitting in a drawer all this time.

Aerostich sells one:

It looks different but seems to serve the same purpose?

I just hold the handle with my right hand and pull back the vapor collar with the fingers of my left hand.
No biggie.

I have that patent protected Pat, you are the first one I can collect on. Maybe I can get a few more at the WCR??? Crap!!! I only have a patent on holding with the left hand and using the right hand fingers to hold back the collar. As you were, you are safe Pat.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Just got back from San Fran, and I rented a car while there.  I went to fill the tank up before returning and was really surprised how much force is required on that nozzle to get the gas to flow.  On a bike, I can imagine it would be a real PITA.   -CA really is it's own brand of crazy.

The tools are the ones that need the tool to fill their tanks.....  :bad:
