I dont know where to put this as its non fj, and not really a suggestion just a question.

I have often seen a couple people using unique/ interesting smileys. Where do these come from? are they hidden or available to only certain members like $$contributors?

And I am not talking about the general ":) :( :|" kind

Any help would be appreciated

If you click the "REPLY" box above the message, you'll see the field of smileys.
:greeting: :nyam2: :sarcastic: :wacko2: :gamer: :bad: (popcorn)

and many more.  If you just type in the Quick Reply box below, you won't.

They are the smileys that dont look like these, their colour is different and shape is less round. One I saw was something that said "this thread is useless without pics" with a bunch of smileys holding up sign boards.

If I am clicking the wrong "reply" still sorry for my limited pc knowledge, otherwise thanks for the help anyway

Jesse,
If you view the source code for the page, you'll see (after muddling through the page structure and such) that he uses a link to an image on another forum:

Same concept as adding a picture, it's just a "smiley picture".

There's a "spell check" button, too.                                        ^^^

New to the internet, are you???

Nope, not new to the internet I visit some sites failry often, more so than this one (those that have seen I am on here a lot) :rofl2:

I have seen the spell check button, just seemed like such a schlep to use it all the time(i can be in quite a hurry to post sometimes), BUT I am learning to slow things down. I have found it helps and doesnt cause enough confusion. I work on a laptop mostly at work, and the keypad is far tinier than a normal keyboard.

Despite, how many errors I make on this site, I actually had quite a good English mark in school(my best was for writing stories, formal letters, etc).

I have a naturally "thinking" type mind, not really handy work inclined, but I do pick up things rather quickly. After all we all start out knowing nothing, then everything and then that everything amounts to nothing. Like some would say.. "I know absolutely everything about fockall"

As for my excuse about not knowing much about bikes - I am training to be an accountant, what can I say :rofl2:>.. Jokes aside, the real reason is that my mother kept me away from my father(rightfully so too) and I grew up without one, so I have never actually had any male influence while growing up, never got to do garage work or yard work, never got to build things or break em apart(other than lego. So my point is I never got a chance to really explore that part of me(the mechanical/ technical side) until a few years ago when I got my first bike. Sorry for the personal past lesson.. anyway

I do thank everyone for helping me, teaching me right and still doing it politely:). I have a lot to learn still but I will get there
