Latest in a long line of underhanded bastardry by Australia's various Hwy Patrols is this utterly contemptible effort.

Was apparently taken near Maroochydore within the last week or so.
It's an unmarked vehicle.
The drivers of this light truck are said to like driving way, way under the speed limit in double line stretches then waving people past.
Then, yep, they book them.
Way to go,that's how you gain the publics trust.

Here in the States we have laws against that, I would hope you do as well. Referred to as entrapment, law enforcement cannot ask or coax you into doing something illegal then fine or arrest you for it.

I'm with monkey, its entrapment.  Besides any lawyer worth their salt will simply argue that the motorist was aware they were highway patrol as they have seen these vehicle previously and were simply obeying the officers instructions as they were of the belief they were being directed around an ongoing incident!

I'm told I'm cynical, pessimistic and generally miserable. I say that I'm realistic! The fact that reality sucks is not my fault!

Be a fun video showing the reduced speed against the speed limit, and the driver's waive, then being pulled over.  Fun thing to show in court.
