i posted about hooking up an after market HID ight kit on my FJ.  I appreciate reponses thus far, the most recent being suggested is to look up modifications on installing lights.  I am not that tech savvy at all, so am having no luck.  Can someone tell me what kind of relay i need for installing an HID light kit.  low beam wont work, high beam works fine.  it seems simple enough, but I just cant figure it out and someone suggested searching for modifications on the site, but it is so massive, I dont even know where to start!  i appreciate your help.

First, double posting is not gonna help your plight with this group. HID systems normally don't require a relay. If it does then the kit should come with one and provide instructions. I installed an HID from DDM and it was quite simple. The power comes directly from the battery. The signal comes from the OEM lamp plug so it knows when to have the Low or High beam on. In searches that I have done on the web about this problem suggests that the polarity on the low beam is reversed, that is in DC talk the positive side is not connected to the positive side. We are a very helpful bunch when we are asked informed and polite questions. I hope that helps...
