As a bunch of you already know, Marc is down in the San Antonio, TX, area getting ready to run his monster machine in the Texas Mile this weekend.  From a standing start he hopes to reach 200 miles per hour inside of ONE MILE!  And with the mods he's done who knows how fast it'll go.

Anyway, if you're interested to know more and watch, a web cam was just set up at the AF1 shop:  http://www.ustream.tv/channel/texas-mile-aprilia

Dyno testing will be happening shortly.

Here's a link to a thread on the project, too: http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=212194

This is his second attempt so wish him and the rest of Team Punisher luck and keep your fingers crossed!

Second attempt didn't happen, as we could not complete the bike in time.  6 months later, the bike was fully prepped but untested.  A week in New Braunfels, TX for shakedown, and then to Goliad, TX for the event.

Result:  192.8mph

With a little more fine tuning and some luck, we should make 200mph next time.

This time we got it.  200.8 mph.

Just your average supercharged, nitrous injected, water-methanol sprayed street bike.  191 rwhp on pump gas.  250+ rwhp with nitrous.

How's that for Kookaloo, Frank?

Congrats Marc! A multi year multi thousand dollar effort. This puts the kook in kookaloo I'm looking for a post on the Appy forum on this run.  Pat

Not everyone understands what a completely rational process this maintenance of a motorcycle is. They think it's some kind of a knack or some kind of affinity for machines in operation. They are right, but the knack is almost purely a process of reason.
