just bought 2012 FJR 2 weeks ago - only have 500 miles.  Ready to purchase top case and am leaning towards Shad 50 rather than to OEM version.  anyone have input on the Shad versus Yamaha OEM case (besides the obvious big diff in $).

Welcome Bill, we have a few FJR owners here that might have some input for you.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.
