Hey guys, I noticed the other day a little oil underneath my 85 FJ100 on the left hand side near the pedal for the rear brake. And to my surprise when I looked around there i find a small crack in the clutch cover. My question is I found one on ebay for a fj1200 around $10 and am curious if they are the same. If so then great, as I haven't seen one in searching for a 1100. If not anyone know where to find one for a decent deal?? Any help is most appreciated thank you! :good2:

All the same mate, $10 is a bargain
unless you ride bikes, I mean really ride bikes, then you just won't get it

84 Fj1100  effie , with mods
( 88 ) Fj 1200  fairly standard , + blue spots
84 Fj1100 absolutely stock standard, now more stock , fitted with Fj12 twin system , no rusted headers for this felicity jayne

Yep, $10 is a bargain but you'd better check which side your brake is on. :-)
They do have different part numbers, but the gasket underneath is the same, so they probably can interchange.  Maybe you should wait for someone to confirm (or not, $10 cover won't last long)

Pretty sure the main difference is the 1100 has a course thread filler cap, and the 1200 is a fine thread

For future reference, right and left sides are expressed as you are sitting on the bike.
$10 dollar cover? go for it....if you have missed out, contact Randy @ RPM and he will fix you up.
You will need a new gasket anyway, so go to RPM.
Be careful on the torque on the side cover bolts....read the clutch info. In the files section. Cheers

oh wow that is very embarrasing.... umm yeah meant to say RIGHT side where brake pedal is.  Thanks guys for helping clarify they are the same so no fitting issues. I will be definitely getting that gasket from Randy as well.
