randy sent me a lovely oil filler cap for my fj with a pipe pressed into it so i can use it for my turbo drain pipe.
problem is the cap randy sent me is fine thread and i need a course thread one...
so i set to work with the tungsten burrs and made a hole to press the pipe from randys into my resin one...
managed to press the pipe out of randys by using a load of plumbing fittings as spacers and a vice.
all looked good till i pressed it in and the resin oil cap shattered!

can someone please tell me...
the thread pitch and size of the course thread caps?!?
need to know this asap as the project is on hold untill then!!

many thanks.
Mark.

I don't know the size but the link takes you to site that sells them,

http://www.pro-bolt.com/aluminium/aluminium-oil-filler-caps-each/aluminium-oil-filler-cap-yamaha-blue.html#.ULDqKdd4DKc

If you look around the site you could probably find your answer.

Just had another look myself and found the answer  :dash2:

many thanks, ordered a nice black one to cut up!
i think i'll get a guy i know who welds aluminum to just drill it out and weld a pipe onto it... saves pressing stuff then.
cheers again.
