The part number is 50h-24602-03-00 and it says it fits a 1984 fj1100L-N. The tanks look the same so i was wondering if anyone had any more info on the cap because of how hard they are to come by...let me know if im posting in the right section, first post

Welcome, if it is an 84/85 fill cap then they are rare. Might consider finding the introductions section and tell us more about you and your FJ.

The part number is correct.

well i went ahead and ordered one so i'll post pics of it when it comes in wednesday or so...i dont actually have an fj at the moment the cap is for my dads bike, the gas cap wouldnt open when he bought it so hes been searching for another one and i work at a yamaha dealership so i was just messing around looking up some parts for his 84 and my dealer locator popped up on the cap and said that dealership had 5 of them. i have a 86 yx600 radian which will be going to my younger brother to learn to ride on, then my dad will give me his 89 fj1200. He also has an 84 fj1100 and an 04 fjr1300

well since i work at a dealership i got dealer price  :sarcastic:...i think they wanted about 100 bucks for one but i got it for 50 with my discount

2X markup.  No wonder they are called stealers.........

And no wonder so many people buy off the internet rather than the local "dealer."

I was talking with the Pirelli importer/wholesaler at the WSB round at Philip Island a couple of months ago.
Complaining about prices he told me that they "only" had a 60% margin on bike tires!!
Its not only the dealers that are stealing.

And now back to your regularly scheduled rare spares discussion.
