Hi all.
I have a more or less complete 3GM on my hands. Can I (easily?) swap the front end and rear end to my 1990 FJ? Regards. Jakob.

Easily?  No, you will need to do some work. You do know that the '89/90 FZR1000 3GM have damping rod forks, correct?
Are you sure you want to do this work and end up with damping rod (not cartridge) forks?

You are gonna need new springs, the stock FZR springs are .809 kg/mm which are too light for the heavier FJ, prolly need .95 or 1.0 kg/mm springs
Might as well get some Race Tech cartridge emulators in those forks: http://racetech.com/ProductSearch/2/Yamaha/FZR1000/1989-90

Anyhoo, you can read all about fitting the FZR front end to the FJ here: http://www.fjmods.co.uk/FrontForks.htm
