Guessing it's about time, given the title of this thread, that I post out my yearly (or so) reminder to twist-tie the L fitting on the bottom of the petcock, that the fuel line attaches to, on the early FJ's.  They can and do come loose and can and have caused dire consequences.

Wonder if the guy getting the ticket got off ? He was probably looking in the rear view mirror with a slight smile on his face. "the guys at work aren't going to believe this..."
Glad no one was hurt and it gives one pause to think about raw fuel dripping on a hot engine and about that electrical tape splice you made a few months ago.
